20 Thoughts I Had While Reading Midnight Sun
Of course, I have a lot of FEELINGS about this book, most of them salty tbh. I had to sit through 750 pages of vampire BROODING. Seven hundred and fifty pages. I know, I’m the fool. If you’re new here, Midnight Sun is Twilight from Edward’s perspective. That’s right, we have the second rewrite of Twilight in the last 10 years. Granted, some of us have been waiting for this particular rewrite for years, so there’s that. Anyhow, here’s 20 Thoughts I Had While Reading Midnight Sun.
CW: Trypophobia for the cover.

Before we begin I would just like to direct your attention to the Quileute Move to Higher Ground Project. Twilight, and Midnight Sun, does incredible harm to many people, especially the real Quileute Tribe. I urge you to consider donating to their Move to Higher Ground Project and help them protect their tribe. You can find more information here.
Also, spoiler warning.
1. Edward is just a 107-year-old man trapped in the body of a 17-year-old. Who thought this was a good idea? He literally calls his classmates children.
2. Edward planning the murder of his classmates is literally me when the lecturer says the words “this assignment is group work”.
3. Rosalie, we don’t deserve you. Neither does Edward.
4. Tanya just wants some vampire D. Some sparkly vampire D.
5. Rosalie and Jasper planning Bella’s murder is kinda funny.
6. Nobody touches Carlisle and Esme. They are so PURE. I sob every time Edward calls them Mom and Dad.
7. THE CHRISTMAS TREE. Cue uncontrollable sobbing.
8. If I have to read ONE MORE brooding sentence I’m gonna throw this book into the pool.
9. Edward really is just a hormonal stalker vampire serial killer and we let him get away with it.
10. Alice is precious.
11. This is just You: Vampire Edition.
12. Extreme Stalker.
13. SO. MANY. RED. FLAGS.
14. Instead of an inner goddess, Edward has an inner monster. Both are fabulous.
15. Oh, so Edward KNEW what would happen if he left Bella. What a dick.
16. Serial Killer Edward would have made a much better story than this.
17. I need Rosalie’s story in all it’s gory details PLEASE.
18. 2 Fast 2 Furious Vampire Edition
19. How To Stage a Crime Scene 101
20. Edward is THE biggest, most pretentious DICK ever.
Pin This!
In all honesty, these might have been the exact 20 thoughts I had while reading Midnight Sun in more or less the same order 😀
The whole “How To Stage A Crime Scene 101” part made me really want a story about Alice as a criminal mastermind. Or just generally a heist story with vampires. Anything but whatever the fuck Midnight Sun was.

My thoughts exactly. I can’t even believe I read this whole thing.
OMG, I haven’t read any of these – and seeing your review – now I’m never going to. Saw some of the movies, angst is not my friend and I just don’t YA – mainly because angst is not my friend 😉
I still have to read this one. Simply because I’ve been waiting so many years for it!
I haven’t read this book yet, though I’ve read the rest of the series. But oh my gosh, I love this!!
I was not a fan of the Twilight movies. I never had the desire to read the books and reading your thought on the latest book makes me glad I never wasted my time.
I’ve watched the films but never read the books. When I heard this one was coming out to me it sounded like the author was cashing in re-writing the same book but from Edwards perspective. Perhaps I don’t get it because I haven’t read the books.
I don’t recommend them at all.
I never made it past the first book in the original series so I did not grab this one.
This is really fun to read! I have no intention to read Midnight Sun but reading people’s reactions are fun 😀 If there’s any positive thing from this book is how great the Cullens as a family are.
