April 2022 Reading Wrap-Up

Hi friends! I hope you had a great month! Can you believe it’s already May? I took some time off blogging in April because I caught a sinus infection and it put me flat on my back. I’m still not feeling 100%, but we’re getting there. Winter has also come to SA, so I’m hoping to mood read some cosy books. Let’s jump into my April 2022 Reading Wrap-Up!

Most Disappointing

Light From Uncommon Stars – I picked this book up as part of my plan to read some of the Goodreads Choice Awards Sci-Fi finalists, and I was disappointed. I won’t share all of my thoughts yet, keep an eye out for the post coming soon!

Favourite Book

Dating Dr Dil – I’ve been obsessed with Bridgerton Season 2 for some time now, and I needed a romance fix. Thank goodness this book was available on Scribd. It gave what it needed to give and I had a hoot listening to the audiobook. It was funny, sweet, heartwarming, and a little spicy. Highly recommend.

Most Surprising

In My Dreams I Hold a Knife – Another pleasant surprise this month. I picked up this book on a whim because I saw BooksandLala talk about it and I loved it. This is a great dark academia thriller with loads of twists and turns. If you need a thriller fix, check this out.

  1. Light From Uncommon Stars is on my TBR and I was excited to read it so now I’m really curious to hear your thoughts! My April was super stressful and chaotic and I can’t believe how quickly the time went by…I feel like I didn’t do any of the things I wanted and was supposed to do lol. Let’s hope I manage to power through all of my uni work so that the next months can be less stressful! Here’s to a wonderful May for all of us✨

  2. aww I’m sorry light from uncommon stars didn’t work for you – it was one of my favorites from last year but definitely a right book right time situation for me. can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it! i have black sun on tbr, i impulse purchased it last year and have been building up the courage to pick it up! 😅
