March Reading Wrap-Up!

March Reading Wrap-Up!

Welcome friends to my March Reading Wrap-Up! I’m super excited to be starting with this new type of wrap-up post. I don’t normally do wrap-up posts, but I have been leaning more towards them these last few days. I’m also trying out some new formats on my blog, so stay tuned.

In this post, I also want to announce a small hiatus. You’ll notice that this is going up on a Monday, which is not my usual blogging day. That’s because I’m getting surgery tomorrow to fix my eyes. Long story short, I have been mostly blind since I was seven, and normal Lasik isn’t an option. So I’m having surgery to essentially place permanent contact lenses into my eyes.

That’s why I am taking a few days off to adjust and to recover! I will be back after Easter.

March Reading Wrap-Up: Books I Read in March

March was actually a pretty good reading month for me. I managed to read a whole 8 books this month! My best month by far. Here’s my wrap-up:

In The Ravenous Dark by A.M. Strickland

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I’ve only given out three 5-stars this year, and In The Ravenous Dark was one of them. This book has blood magic, a creepy underworld, a Greek setting and a pansexual main character! I cannot recommend this book enough!

All the Tides of Fate by Adalyn Grace

I knew I had to get to this book soonish. I really enjoyed the first book, All the Stars and Teeth, and since this is a duology I was anticipating the ending. All the Tides of Fate was the perfect conclusion to a brilliant series. If you love pirates, mermaids and magic, I highly suggest you check this one out!

All the Stars and Teeth Review!

Sweet & Bitter Magic by Adrienne Tooley

My first truly disappointing read of the year. I was sad to say I expected more from this book, but Sweet & Bitter Magic did not live up to the hype. However, you might enjoy this sapphic, witchy romance. If the grumpy-sunshine romance trope is your favourite, give this a go!

Married at First Swipe by Claire Frost

Another disappointing read, and my first one-star review of the year. Married at First Swipe promises a fresh take on the “married at first sight” reality TV show. However, it just fell short for me. This was more women’s fiction than romance, but if that’s your jam go check it out!

The Conductors by Nicole Glover

This book was an absolute joy to read! I got the audiobook from Libro.FM’s ALC programme and I really enjoyed it. Look out for my review of The Conductors to come later this month!

(You can use my referral code to sign up for Libro.FM! Libro.FM supports independent bookstores through audiobooks. If you’re looking for an alternative to audible, this is it.)

Black Witch Magic by Mila Nicks

If you like Buzzfeed Unsolved meets paranormal romance, Black Witch Magic is it. A ghost hunter who doesn’t believe in ghosts meets a cursed witch and wild shenanigans ensue. I loved this romance so much and I am super excited to continue the series!

The Space Between Worlds by Micaiah Johnson

This sci-fi adventure was our March book club pick for The Read Better Book Club! I honestly didn’t know much about this book going into it, but I was quickly hooked. We follow Cara, a traverser who can travel between parallel universes. The Space Between Worlds is part Mad Max, part Dark Matter, and a whole lot of awesome.

The Library of the Dead by T.L. Huchu

Ropa can talk to the dead. She makes a living out of delivering messages from the dead until she is pulled into the magical underground of Edinburgh. The Library of the Dead was a fun read, and it definitely kept me up at night. Look out for my review later this month!

I try not to buy so many books, but sometimes I just fail. Here are the books I hauled in March!

March ARCs

I’m desperately trying to get through my Netgalley TBR this year. And while I am trying not to request more books, sometimes you just have to. So I’ve decided to add my newest ARCs to my March Reading Wrap-Up to hold myself more accountable. For once I actually want to read these books on time.
