Hi friends! This year is just flying by, I’m already on my July 2022 reading wrap-up. It feels like July went by in a blur, and I’m not even sure which books I read this month. So this will be a journey for all of us. Let’s hop in!
July 2022 Reading Stats
July 2022 Reading Wrap-Up
- See You Yesterday by Rachel Lynn Solomon (4 Stars)
- The Book of Life by Deborah Harkness (5 Stars)
- Her Dark Wings by Melinda Salisbury (4 Stars)
- Belladonna by Adalyn Grace (5 Stars)
- Book Lovers by Emily Henry (4.5 Stars)
- Summer Frost by Blake Crouch (3 Stars)
- You have Arrived at your Destination by Amor Towles (2 Stars)
- Beneath the Keep by Erika Johansen (3 Stars)
- Hunt the Stars by Jessie Mihalik (3 Stars)
Most Disappointing Read
I think it’s clear from my ratings this month that I didn’t have many disappointing reads. The one stand out is You have Arrived at your Destination. It’s part of the Forward Collection, a sci-fi anthology published by Amazon. I enjoyed all of the stories (some more than others), but You have Arrived at your Destination is definitely the weakest one of the bunch.
Favourite Read
I found a bunch of new favourites this month, especially The Book of Life and Book Lovers. I “accidentally” speed read my way through the A Discovery of Witches trilogy in June/July and oh boy am I obsessed with Matthew de Clairmont. I am also obsessed with Charlie Lastra from Book Lovers (check out my review!). This was a good month for new book boyfriends.
Most Surprising Read
This one goes hands down to Belladonna. I received an ALC from Netgalley and I was completely blown away. I went in with very few expectations, but somehow Belladonna managed to meet them all. Watch out for my review later in the month!
