Magic and Mischief Unboxing

Magic and Mischief UnboxingI’m drooling at the moment.

Hello everyone, and welcome to another edition of Inside the Ink Pot. This week I do a Magic and Mischief unboxing (which is AMAZING by the way). There are spoilers ahead, so if you haven’t received your box yet and you want the mystery to remain, come back to this post a little later.

Let’s get to it! You can also watch a live unboxing on my Instagram!

So the first thing I found when opening the box was the spoiler card. I generally don’t look at the spoiler cards because I like to be completely surprised when I open the box. Opening a book box feels like Christmas morning and I just love it.

The Notebook

The first thing I found I was a notebook. The gorgeous As Travar’s (meaning “To Travel” from A Darker Shade of Magic) notebook was accompanied by two fun pencils as well. The notebook was designed by Catarina Book Designs and hand-lettered by Pineurple. Now I have another notebook to scribble in!

The puzzle

Next up is a Six of Crows print and puzzle. Asbhsakjskjs. I LOVE SIX OF CROWS and I am over the moon with the print and puzzle. I can’t wait to build it.

The pillowcase

The next item I found was a Throne of Glass pillowcase by Stella Bookish Art. Now I have previously stated that I am not a big fan of SJM and her books, but the pillowcase is gorgeous and I love it.

The soap

Next up is an Elias inspired bar of soap from an Ember in the Ashes. I have yet to read the series, but I’m sure I’ll enjoy the soap either way. The soap was made by Pinkcos.

The coffee

There was also some Ember in the Ashes coffee included in the box, which is sad because I don’t drink coffee, at all. (Yes, you may yell at me now).

Unboxing - Furyborn

The book

And now, the moment we’ve all been waiting for…THE BOOK. This box included a copy of Furyborn by Claire Legrand, as well as a bookmark and letter from the author. I have heard many great things about this book and I cannot wait to read it.

  1. Great photos! This looks like it was a good subscription box. I love the idea of subscription boxes but not all of them ship to Italy and the ones that do tend to be super expensive.

    1. They are super expensive. But this box is based in South Africa, where I’m from, so the shipping cost is lower.

  2. Great post and beautiful photo’s, that is an amazing subscription box and I think Ember in the Ashes is a great book series. I absolutely love and enjoy that series so much. I hope you would enjoy the series if you give it a chance to read it, thank you so much for sharing your awesome post.
