The ultimate 2024 Read Better Reading Tracker Spreadsheet

Hi friends! As always I am super excited to be announcing the ultimate read better Reading Tracker Spreadsheet! This is the only reading tracker spreadsheet you’ll ever need, filled with lots of sheets, stats, and other fun things!

I’m also excited to announce that this spreadsheet comes in THREE colours! You can of course customize it to fit your aesthetic, but I made three colour palettes you can choose from. This is a paid spreadsheet, and it will be available for only $6!

Read on to see what it includes, with screenshots!

Included in the Read Better Reading Tracker Spreadsheet

Quick Look Page

2024 Update: For this year I revamped the quick look page to include all of your stats in one convenient place!

The quick summary page of this reading tracker spreadsheet gives you an overview of your reading for the whole year. It gives you:

  • Total books read
  • Total books hauled
  • Pages read
  • Hours listened
  • Books read per month
  • Series read
  • Ratings
  • Spending
  • Book length
  • ARC/Review copies

Books Read Page

2024 Update: I added a column that automatically calculates how long you’ve been reading a book. I also simplified the diversity columns and moved some stuff around.

This is where you can enter all of the books you’ve read during the year. There are multiple dropdown menus you can use, as well as a “review” column for book bloggers! You can delete any column you don’t want to use (just be aware that it might mess with the stats page).

Some features on this page include:

  • Date started & date finished
  • Month read
  • Author gender
  • Publication year & date
  • Formate
  • Age range
  • Genre
  • Source
  • Year hauled
  • Pages
  • Hours listened
  • Book length
  • DNF column & reason for DNF
  • Character diversity, and much more!

Series Tracker

2024 Update: I moved they key to the top of the page, and that’s basically it.

If you’re like me, and you start series but never finish them, this tracker is for you. You can track the year you read the book, the series status, and if you own the book or not!

ARC/Review Copy Tracker

This sheet is also mainly for book bloggers, so it can be deleted if it is not needed. The ARC tracker basically allows you to track all of your ARCs, including eARCs and review copies received from publishers or authors. I added a format column, so you can indicate if it’s a physical arc or e-arc. There are also check boxes for social media posts, and I’m working on a more comprehensive blogging tracker, so watch this space!

ARCs

Hauls/Unhauls

2024 Update: This page is now called the “Books Owned” page, and it’s more of a full library spread than just tracking your hauls and unhauls. It’s more versatile now to be able to add all of your owned books!

This is the page I am most excited about. It tracks all the books you buy or unhaul during the year. It will calculate the amount of money you spend on books (if that’s something you’d like to track) and it also calculates the amount of time between buying a book and reading it. It’s a really cool feature, if I do say so myself.

Hauls Unhauls

Book Requests

This is a new sheet that I found myself using a lot in my 2022 tracker. As a book blogger, I often request a lot of books and lose track of what I get and what I don’t get. So this is just a basic sheet for you to track which books you’ve requested from publishers.

Author Tracker

Another highly requested page, an author tracker! For when you want to track all of the authors on your shelf. This uses the same key as the series tracker, so you can also track in which year you read which book.

Readathon Tracker

If you love readathons, this is a sheet for you. It’s relatively simple, but you can use it to track which books you read for which readathons. I highly suggest checking out the Buzzwordathon, as well as the Magical Readathon!

Book wishlist

This is another simple sheet on the reading tracker spreadsheet to help you track which books you have on your wishlist, plus you can share it with your friends and drop some subtle hints.

Stats Sheets

2024 Update: All of the stats have now moved to the Quick Look Page!

Another one of my favourite pages on the reading tracker spreadsheet. Here you’ll find a sheet that tracks ratings, month read, author gender, book length, author status, publication year, format, age range, genre, source, series, and ARC stats.

Note: These stats update automatically. If you tamper with one of the corresponding columns on the “Books Read” sheet, the stats might stop working. If you don’t know how to make adjustments to charts, or the data validation, feel free to reach out to me or check the sources linked.

  1. This sounds like such an in-depth and wonderful tracker! I’ve never seen anything quite so comprehensive for a digital tracker and I love it. Super creative and cool. And I love the color options!
